Green Homes Grant

The Green Homes Grant has been available since September 2020 and allows homeowners to claim vouchers up to £5,000 (£10,000 for low-income households) on renewable technology installation at their home.

First announced on 8th July 2020 by Chancellor Rishi Sunak, this is a £2 billion government scheme that is there to help pay for improvements on more than 600,000 homes across England.

Are you eligible for the grants?

All owner-occupied homes will be eligible for the Green Homes Grant. The scheme is also available to landlords of privately rented and social domestic housing, as well as park homeowners. If you’re a tenant, you, unfortunately, won't be able to access the scheme, but your landlord may be eligible to make the improvements to your home.

For a full list of the qualifying benefits, head to the GOV.UK website. The GOV.UK website also has an eligibility checker here.
